    Nominations open for Forbes Africa Person of the Year 2012

    The Forbes Africa Person of the Year awards has returned for the second consecutive year. The winner, selected by a group of panellists, would have had an influence on the events of the year gone by on the African continent.

    2012 has been a busy year for entrepreneurs and businesses across Africa. Who do you believe has made a real impact in business by stimulating economic growth, creating employment, spearheading innovation and bringing new technologies to the continent?

    Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, was voted Forbes Africa Person of the Year 2011, for his stand against corruption, and graced the December/January cover of the magazine.

    You are invited to nominate the person, who for better or for worse, deserves to be named this year's Forbes Africa Person of The Year. Send your nominations to: moc.acirfasebrof@srettel. Nominations will close on Wednesday, 17 October 2012.

    On 19 October, names of the top five nominees will be released on the Facebook page and at www.forbesafrica.com/personoftheyear. The public are then welcome to vote for who they think is the most deserving of the award. You can vote by tweeting @forbesafrica with the hashtag #forbesafricapoty. Voting closes on 31 October 2012.
