    FTM launches Mac Action

A new free online magazine aimed at Apple Mac users, Mac Action, has been launched by Future Thinking Media (FTM). The new publication focuses on the Apple customer base in Africa and aims to provide useful, informative content in a readable package.
    FTM launches Mac Action

Mac Action is hosted by Digi-Pages on the new digital-magazine portal, www.virtualmags.co.za, and is edited by South African, Steve Allison, in conjunction with FTM partner and ICT media veteran Russell Bennett. According to a statement from the magazine, "Mac Action has been established to fill a gaping hole in local publishing, which leaves fans of the iconic brand with no choice but to purchase a costly, imported magazine for their more in-depth Apple-related information, features, reviews, and tutorials. Pricey and without any deference to unique local conditions, indeed often without relevance to the African market at all."

As a digital magazine, subscribers get to “page” through a magazine filled at no cost bar the amount of bandwidth required. Mac Action plans to offer readers and subscribers a sense of community through participation in further discussions on its content, layout, etc. on the Mac Action Facebook group and via the Mac Action Twitter feed.
