    Additional features for A24 Media

    A24 Media has announced the imminent launch of its African photography collection featured on the site as well as a new 'About Africa' section providing background information on the continent. The company has also reported an increase in content and well as its 'Quick Glance' to support that increase.

    African Photography digitised

    A24 Media plans to launch a stills library featuring photographic collections in Africa that have been digitised. At launch, the library will feature the work of photographers Mohamed Amin and Duncan Willets.

    A24 Media plans to source and market photographic content from journalists and organisations who want to find new markets for their stills.

    Duncan Willets, the company's editorial director, photography, said, "Not only will the stills library on A24 Media open up a new and sustainable market for African photographers, but it will also showcase and build talent on the continent, and in effect raise a new generation of world class photographers from Africa."

    'About Africa' launched

    A24 Media has launched a new category, 'About Africa'. 'About Africa' provides background information on African countries including history, infrastructure and maps.

    A24 Media content grows

    A24 Media have reported a 50% jump in new stories on the site within the last three weeks to 150 news stories.

    Contributors include Africa Business News (owners and distributors of CNBC Africa in Africa), Southern African Broadcasting Association (SABA) and Nation Media Group.

    'Quick Glance' feature added

    To support the increase in story categories and news stories, the company has introduced a 'Quick Glance' feature that is meant to allow users to quickly view stories available on the site and those soon to be featured.
