African soccer website debuts
AMSTERDAM: A website devoted to the coverage of the game of football in Africa, www.africansoccerunion.com has been launched online. The website is being promoted by a team of journalists and stakeholders in African football headed by Eddie Nwafor, the CEO of Winbell Media based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The African Soccer Union's offering includes news, analysis, interviews, forums, and blogs. The website offers indepth coverage including updated league tables of African countries, fixtures, results and detailed information on premier league football clubs, their team lists and officials. The site also has the list of national team players of various African countries. CAF competitions, including women tournaments are also chronicled on the website.
According to a CAF media director, "this website fills a vacuum that has been missing in African football."
