ITU in new partnership to fight cyber-crime
The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has said its recent partnership with International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) will be crucial in strengthening cyber-security.
The partnership with IMPACT will expand co-operation between governments, businesses and educational institutions.
Says Dr Hamadoun Touré, ITU Secretary-General: “Cyber-security is one of the most critical issues of our time. It is a global issue, demanding a truly global approach and it is therefore gratifying to see and to be part of this growing coalition against cyber-threats worldwide. The collaboration with IMPACT complements our efforts in strengthening cyber-security and we look forward to expanding the cooperation between governments, the private sector and educational institutions.”
