Miriam "Mama Afrika" Makeba dies
South Africa's Miriam Makeba died at the age of 76 of a heart attack in the Italian town of Caserta after an anti-Mafia concert on 10 November 2008 in the the early hours of the morning.
Makeba was one of Africa's most prominent artists being the first black African woman to win a Grammy Award and was a leader in the fight against apartheid.
