One week left for Loeries World Cup entries

With the 2010 FIFA World Cup final just around the corner, Loeries entrants have one week left to submit their world cup-related work for The 2010 Loerie Awards. A special extension until 13 July was put in place to embrace the 2010 World Cup at this year's awards in Cape Town, 1 - 3 October.

Work eligible for the extension includes all brand communication that is in one way or another related to the hosting of the world cup in South Africa this year, and is not limited to official communication. Entries can be submitted in any of the main categories - Advertising, Communication Design, Experiential Media and Integrated Campaign, and will be judged alongside all other entries.

The Loeries judging week will take place between 17 - 25 August at Vega, the Brand Communication School in Johannesburg. A seminar will be held on 20 August at Hackle Brooke in Craighall Park, during which each of the international jury chairmen and a Middle Eastern jury representative will give a talk. The seminar will run from 7.30am until 12pm and tickets are available at R150 (excl VAT) from the Loeries online store (www.theloerieawards.co.za).

The 2010 Loerie winners will be announced during the awards ceremonies in Cape Town on the weekend of 2-3 October at the Good Hope Centre. Information on tickets sales, accommodation and specially reduced flights from Mango can be found on the Loeries website.
