    Participate in CMO Council surveys

The CMO Council has launched two surveys seeking global perspectives in its 2009 Marketing Outlook Survey and the Giving Customer Voice More Volume audit and is inviting participation.

The 2009 Marketing Outlook Survey is an annual global benchmarking initiative that is the largest independent assessment of senior marketing executives today. Given the worldwide economic challenges and market pressures, this year's audit will review the performances of 2008 and look at 2009 challenges and intentions.

The CMO Council believe the results of this study will be extremely valuable to all participants seeking peer-level input and consensus on critical issues and priorities in the year ahead. The responses will be kept confidential and shared in aggregate on publication of the 2009 Marketing Outlook Report, released in Q1 of this year.

The Giving Customer Voice More Volume audit is the CMO Council's latest audit seeking to benchmark how well brands listen and respond to customer input, concerns and issues. It believes with today's depressed economy challenging marketers to pay far more attention to the needs and wants of customers, assessing the degree to which companies continually calibrate and cultivate customer experience and loyalty has become an important business performance consideration.

The Voice of Customer (VOC) has never been more powerful or more persuasive with the advent of the internet, social media and proliferating channels of customer engagement and advocacy. This will assess the survey-taker's company's level of commitment to customer experience and their organisation's effectiveness in turning detractors into disciples, and objections into opportunities.
