Rand Show re-appoints Action Ambro’s and Teresa Settas Communications

Advertising and Direct Marketing Specialists, Action Ambro's and Teresa Settas Communications, an independent PR consultancy, have been re-appointed to handle the communications and marketing strategy for the Rand Show 2004.

The reappointment of the two companies on the flagship show of Kagiso Exhibitions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kagiso Media, follows a highly successful synergised communications campaign that saw PR and advertising work hand-in-hand to deliver quantifiable results. The Rand Show 2003 was an outstanding success both in terms of significantly increased attendance figures as well as exhibitor sales. Final attendance figures closed almost 11 percent up on forecast compared with 2001 which was a measurable 19-day show starting on the Easter Weekend. Compared to 2002, the Rand Show 2003 enjoyed a 23 percent growth in visitor attendance.

Furthermore, direct media spend in many instances received a 3:1 return on investment through careful media negotiations and partnerships and the consumer exhibition's communications strategy delivered in excess of R20 million worth of unpaid PR exposure over the show's three week period.

Various media partners were brought on board and went to great lengths to promote key events at the Rand Show. These included, Metro FM, Yfm, RSG, Geraas, SABC, ETV, The Star, The Sowetan and Beeld.

This is the fourth year Teresa Settas Communications has handled the PR account and the second year on advertising and DM for Action Ambro's.
