D.U.O. Advertising heats up Kosher Nandos

Creative Director Mathew Sher has once again added some Jewish wit to spice up the Kosher Nandos personality. Using relevant cutting-edge humour, D.U.O.(Do Unto Others) Advertising have developed a kosher directional signage campaign aimed at reminding customers that Kosher Nandos is still serving 'the best peri-peri flame grilled chicken ever invented' and that they are still within walking distance of their homes.

The idea was to erect directional signage around the suburbs of Savoy and Waverley, which form a tight radius around the restaurant and enjoys a large residential Jewish community. The key aspect of the campaign is the use of caution road signs in the form of the Star of David, which indicate the way to the kosher restaurant and describe the well-known character of Nandos chicken. Central to this community is the Waverley synagogue, exactly 1km down the road from the Nandos Kosher restaurant and by placing one of the campaign signs next to the entrance provides fantastic visibility for the campaign. This simple, localized campaign evokes an empathy for the restaurant and highlights the cultural differences without playing into stereotypes.
