Teresa Settas Communications notches up new accounts

2005 has proven to be a record year for Teresa Settas Communications (TSC), an independent PR consultancy. The five-year old PR consultancy has steadily grown its billings and client portfolio, notching up a number of blue chips along the way.

New account gains in the second half of 2005 include:

  • East Coast Radio, wholly owned by Kagiso Media (Pty) Ltd has appointed TSC to handle its media relations focusing on Gauteng and Cape Town.
  • TSC has been re-appointed to handle the communications strategy for the Rand Show, the flagship of Kagiso Exhibitions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kagiso Media. This follows a highly successful communications and media campaign for the 2005 show, delivering in excess of R24 million of exposure across TV, radio, print and online over a 4-week period and the highest attendance figures since 1997. The Rand Show is the second largest consumer show in the world outside of the United States and biggest show in Africa.
  • TSC handled the recent inaugural Soweto Wine Festival which, besides enjoying the overwhelming support of South Africans, Sowetans ad local media, drew phenomenal international interest making headlines on CNN, BBC, Sky and New York Times amongst others.
  • TSC has also been appointed to handle the Soweto Beer Festival, now in its fifth year and a landmark event on Soweto's social and tourism calendar.
  • The Mason Company has appointed TSC to handle its media relations.
