Riot, a communications company that builds brands with inventive advertising and design solutions underpinned by a brand strategy, has triumphed in a five-way pitch to land the sought after Hip2B2 account and will be re-launching the brand established by IT whiz kid turned Afronaut Mark Shuttleworth.
Hip2B2 was launched in 2002 as the educational arm to Shuttleworth's "First African" in space campaign. It has evolved into a commercial social responsibility brand that includes clothing, accessories, cameras, USB watches and pens, and other digital products; as well as a television show and a soon to be launched magazine. Profits generated from the sale of the Hip2B2 range of products are redistributed into educational projects.
